Every Countdown runs live timers for the dates people actually look up — Christmas, Halloween, New Year, Easter, and dozens more — plus any date you type in yourself.

How the timers work

Each timer reads the clock on your own device, so the numbers match your timezone without anything being sent anywhere. Fixed dates like 25 December are set in the code. Moving dates like Easter or US Thanksgiving are worked out from the same rules the calendar uses, so they stay correct every year with no manual updating.

Why each page looks different

A countdown should feel like the thing it is counting to. Every page carries the weather of its own season — snow through December, leaves through autumn, petals in spring, fireworks at New Year — and the whole field drifts with your cursor. It is drawn on a single canvas that stops the moment you scroll away, and it never runs at all if your system asks for reduced motion.

What we store

Nothing. There is no account, no database and no tracking cookie. A custom countdown lives entirely in its own link — that is why the link can be shared.
